Sclerotherapy (Vein injections)

What is Sclerotherapy?

Sclerotherapy is a quick and simple treatment for spider veins and varicose veins. A solution is injected into the veins, making them collapse and eventually fade as the body absorbs them. The procedure usually takes about 30–60 minutes, and you can get back to your normal routine the same day. It’s safe and effective, though you might have some mild swelling, redness, or bruising after the treatment. Most people see results in a few weeks, and you may need a few sessions to get the best outcome. Maintenance treatments can help with new veins that appear over time.

Post Treatment:

After sclerotherapy, you’ll likely need to wear compression stockings for a week or two to help the veins heal. Light walking is encouraged, but avoid strenuous exercise, hot baths, saunas, or prolonged standing or sitting for a few days. Protect the treated area from the sun to prevent dark spots, and watch for mild swelling or bruising, which is normal and should go away soon. If you notice unusual pain, swelling, or signs of infection, contact your doctor.
