FUT vs FUE
There are two primary techniques for extracting donor hair for transplantation. FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) involves removing a narrow strip of scalp from the donor area. This strip is then dissected into individual follicular units (or ‘grafts’), which typically contain 1-4 hairs each, and transplanted to the recipient site. Historically, FUT has been recognized as the most efficient and cost-effective hair transplant method.
In contrast, FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) entails extracting individual grafts directly from the donor area without removing any skin. At REVIVE Cosmetic Center, we achieve results with FUE that are comparable to FUT, but with the added advantage of minimal scarring.
